EODB Approved for MOT Testing

Engine speed and engine temperature can now be measured through the EODB interface using the KTS 515.
The new tool will put an end to the technical problems of obtaining engine speed measurent via external adaption on some of the more modern vehicles.
The UK MOT emissions software has been updated to a new version to enable the operator to select between traditional engine speed and temperature measurement and EOBD measurement during MOT testing. This includes both the PC based software on the BEA 850s and the software for the processor based BEA 150, 250 and 350 equipment.

The BEA 850 will require the addition of a KTS module. Any of the KTS 5 series modules can be used for the speed and temperature measurement, however, the new KTS 515 is also an ideal budget EOBD fault code reader with the benefit of wireless connectivity - the 515 features the same bluetooth technology as the more powerful KTS 540 and 570 modules.
The KTS 515 replaces the KTS 115 and does not require a software contract.
